Melanie Jannicelli Shutt

PRESIDENT

Melanie is a Colorado native and a vibrant girly-girl who loves champagne, apple pie, and anything vanilla. It has always been her dream to make people’s visions come to life through event planning, and Kimberly Rose Events is her brainchild.

Melanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Trinity University in 2006. After moving back to Denver and spending five years in the bridal industry as a wedding dress consultant, and more than seven years assisting with meeting and conference planning for the State of Colorado, she made the leap to starting her own company in 2013. She named the company after her mom and sister, Kim and Carolyn Rose, in honor of their support, friendship and love over the years.

Now, with over twenty years of experience in the wedding & event industry, Melanie is known for her sunshine personality and ability to execute flawless & memorable events. She draws inspiration from each client to create upscale, beautifully unique experiences. Her work has been published over a dozen times both online and in print. She placed top five in the Denver A-List’s “Best Wedding Planner” each year from 2016-2020. She was awarded the Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice Award in 2016, 2017 & 2018, and was recognized by Expertise.com as one of the top wedding planners in Denver in 2019 & 2020. She is an active member of the Colorado chapter of the Wedding Industry Professional’s Association (WIPA).

Melanie survived a rare brain condition known as an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in 2019, and is a passionate advocate for AVM & brain injury awareness. She was the spokesperson for Giving Tuesday for the world-renowned Craig Hospital in 2019, where she was a patient, and she is a member of their annual PUSH Gala Auction Committee. She is honored to serve on the founding Advisory Council for the University of Colorado at Anschutz Department of Neurosurgery. When she is not working, Melanie is living her homesteading dreams with her husband, Adam, new baby daughter, Louisa, and a whole host of animals!

Our longest tenured planner, Brooke is a vital member of the Kimberly Rose team. She is a talented planner who guides clients and fellow professionals with a no-nonsense approach through the complexities of the wedding day. Over the years, she has successfully executed dozens of weddings. A natural leader, clients appreciate her expert advice, approachable demeanor and sense of humor.

A seasoned industry professional, Beverly has over eight years of national and international event planning experience, having managed countless events on both the planning and catering sides. She is a skilled planner and designer with unwavering attention to detail. Clients describe her as imaginative, fun and resourceful. Gifted in the art of conversation, she makes each client and vendor alike feel instantly at ease and confident in her expertise.

April approaches each event with a creative eye and a true love for weddings. She brings a bright smile and joyful disposition to a sometimes chaotic atmosphere. Her pleasant demeanor and ability to create a sense of calm make her an ideal support in those special moments. With Kimberly Rose since 2017, April is well-versed in the ins and outs of wedding day management and is an vibrant member of the team.
